Preparation Checklist

Check all boxes prior to entering

Review the Can Contest entry form to prepare your answers.

Your can was on the market prior to January 1, 2024.

Your can design includes a minimum of two INX Metal Color Catalog colors listed in your catalog.

You have record of the INX Color Catalog serial numbers used in the design.

Your PDF art includes INX Color Catalog colors that are visible in the output preview. (Note: You may use the metal decorator’s press/production pdf)

Prepared copy to include in the entry form, considered when judging, and helps INX promote your design and product.

If you win, we will need high resolution photos of the winner with the trophy and/or certificate, and optional images of your team for promotion your design. See the CONTEST WINNERS.

After Submitting your Entry

There is a required minimum of five complete, sealed/finished cans, carefully packaged (tops required), to arrive at the address listed, on or before April 29, 5 p.m. Note: We cannot accept dented cans. Please package carefully.

Q & A

Q. Can I submit a can that we are working on now?
A. No. The can must have been designed and commercially available on store shelves.
Q. Do you need a finished can or can I send a proof can (without a lid)?
A. You must provide a sealed can with a lid. Note: cans are easily crushed or bent due to pressurization in shipping.
Q. What do you need to enter?
A. Please refer to the checklist above.
Q. Do I need to be 21 or older to enter?
A. No. There are no age restrictions.
Q. Is there any cost to submit an entry?
A. No. It is free to enter the can design contest, however you will be required to pay for the secure shipping of your three can samples.
Q. By "individuals", does this exclude a design team?
A. No, it does not exclude a design team. A team may submit entries, but with one winner per entry. The one winner receives the trophy and certificate.
Q. Should I send a 3D rendered can or what should I submit?
A. Please do not send art, ads, or promotions of your can design. We only accept a production or press proof and actual physical can samples.
Q. What is your criteria for a "winning" design?
A. Please visit the judges page for winning criteria.
Q. May I enter more than one can design?
A. Yes, you may enter up to three and only one entry per brand.
